In January 2024, our colleague Roos Gerritsma was approached by Eva Nieuwkoop, a student pursuing an MA in tourism. She wanted to conduct research on Amsterdam North and highlight the role of the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Amsterdam. Ultimately, she took a broader scope and addressed various facets of tourism developments in North Amsterdam. Together with her supervisor, Alvaro Dias, she was able to transform her thesis into this publication.
