Transition Manager Regenerative Tourism (SPRONG Gastvrije Transities)

Anouschka Trauschke is a Transition Manager for Regenerative Tourism at Inholland University of Applied Sciences and a social entrepreneur in the tourism sector. Through the SPRONG project Gastvrije Transities, she works together with the New Urban Tourism team on regenerative area development in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Region.

Thanks to her strong practical knowledge and experience, Anouschka is ideally positioned to lead the programme on regenerative area development—the theme on which Inholland will focus in the coming years within the SPRONG group. How can tourism and hospitality contribute to societal transitions, and in particular to the development of neighbourhoods and areas within the Amsterdam Metropolitan Region? Think of nature restoration, strengthening social connections in neighbourhoods, and the revaluation of culture.

“Regenerative tourism is widely discussed, but there are still too few visible examples,” says Anouschka. “With the SPRONG programme, we want to make good practices visible, support pioneers, and inspire the sector to add value to their surroundings.”
